Who does MotionFix treat?
MotionFix treats adults with back, neck, joint and sports injuries, many of whom train regularly. Patients include lifters, runners, cyclists and people with desk-related neck and back pain.
If you train frequently, being told to rest for six weeks isn't always practical. Where it's safe, we look for ways to modify your training while the problem is treated, rather than stopping it altogether.
The method
What happens at a MotionFix appointment?
Your first appointment is a 60-minute consultation (£95): a history, a structural and movement assessment, an explanation of the findings and, where appropriate, first treatment. Follow-ups are 30 minutes (£70).
Assess
A structural and movement assessment that looks at the wider movement chain as well as the painful area, to identify the likely driver of your pain.
Treat
Treatment may include chiropractic adjustment, medical dry needling, myofascial release and functional stretching, chosen to suit what the assessment finds.
Plan
A clear plan covering load management, exercises and follow-up, to reduce the chance of it returning.
