Questions, answered

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No. You can book directly with MotionFix — no GP referral is needed for private chiropractic care. If you plan to claim on insurance, check whether your policy requires a referral first.
What happens at my first appointment?
A 60-minute initial consultation: full history, a structural and movement assessment to find the cause of your problem, a clear explanation, and first treatment where appropriate. You leave with a plan and a realistic timeline.
How much does it cost?
Initial consultation is £95 (60 minutes) and follow-up treatments are £70 (30 minutes). Payment is taken at your appointment, with no packages or lock-ins.
Is chiropractic treatment safe?
For mechanical problems, chiropractic care is a well-established, low-risk option when delivered by a registered practitioner. Owain Evans is GCC-registered and a BCA Fellow, and every patient is screened during assessment.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the problem, but we work in short, defined courses — not open-ended plans. You'll get an honest estimate after your assessment.
Will I have to stop training?
Almost never completely. We modify load intelligently to keep you active while the problem resolves — that's the whole point of how we work.
Where are you based?
MotionFix is at St John's Centre, 64 Larcom Street, Elephant & Castle, London SE17 1NQ — a short walk from Elephant & Castle station, serving Borough, Kennington, Southwark and Walworth.
How do I book?
